Eco Printed Scarves 

Eco printing combines the historical methods used in natural dyeing with contact print techniques. The colors and prints in these scarves come from natural dyes found in local plants…most of the leaves are gathered from my own yard here in northeast Connecticut.  The botanicals are layered onto the silk, bundled and tightly bound.  The bundles are then steamed or boiled for several hours.   I use a 6-step process to complete each scarf. This process transfers pigment from the leaves onto the cloth permanently. No synthetic dyes, inks, or paints are used.

Every scarf is unique!

All of the Eco Printed scarves are 100% silk and each comes with card describing the 6-step process I use in creating the scarves.  Large Eco Printed scarves are 14 x 72 inches, and Small Eco Printed scarves are 8 x 50 inches.
